It’s alive and I’m not
General, Transportation By Al - September 5th, 2005Well it’s gone 5:40am and I’ve finished doing things. Usually I like doing things, unless there are things I have to do. When there are things to do, I tend not to like to do them, but it can be fun to look at all the things, whether I do them or not. Tonight however, there are things I’ve had to do and things I’ve chosen to do.
I had to put out all my empty glass bottles for collection. We’re talking about 30 odd bottles of J20 (I bought more) and about 5 empty bottles of Shloer. Then there were old newspapers and the brown wheelie-bin full of grass from my backyard. Incidentally, I’ve found out that we’ve got 2 of these wheelie-bins. I just figured that every time the lawn needed to be done, Dad had already moved it round the back. And then when the grass was done he’d move it round to the front. I shoulda known that that was far too organised.
I’ve also just finished making some modifications to my car – which is impressive because I know sod all about cars. So whilst it’s a minor thing, I’m pretty chuffed with how well it’s worked out. I got a scanner for the front of my Rover Metro 1.1S. It doesn’t scan images in, oh no – it’s far cooler than that! We’re talking the scanner light that’s on the front of KITT – the Pontiac Firebird from the Knight Rider TV Series. Oh yes – my Metro has one of them on the front now and I got it working and all. I still needed to call my friend Phiz for some advice early on though.
Well I’m off to bed – 1st day back at work again tomorrow. {{{wakes up}}} <- Just realised I’ve slept at my desk. I’ll post about what I got up to on the weekend later.

Slipped in snow. Hurt my leg. Hobbled to the tube station. Missed my train. Damn you snow!

This is awesome:
Wow, @zavvi is pretty useless, they sent a £70 item wrapped in a thin bag! Let's see if their customer service is any good.
