Poor Tilt
By AlEveryone, I’d like you to meet my car, Tilt;
If you can’t yet figure out why he’s called Tilt, then it’s perhaps time you tried finding your glasses. My car Tilt is a poorly little car. First of all, this happened to him. It’s common with Rover Metros - but they can be pumped up. Except Tilt couldn’t because he’d had a major leak and so the whole suspension had gone down on one side and he needed something called a displacer unit to replace the one that broke. Not so long story made shorter; It would have cost £230 from Rover but I managed to get a decent one for £15 from a scrap yard.
Today, the day he got de-tilted, I went for a ride to Warrington which is about 45 minutes drive away so that I could visit a friend. On the way back, he got poorly again. This time - it’s the clutch. I rang my good friend Phiz and he was the one who explained it to me (note: I know nothing about cars, except for hydrolastic suspension on Rover Metros. After all of Tilt’s tilting I’ve become somewhat of an expert on how it works, but that’s as far as I go). I wasn’t even home at the time - I was still a good 20 minutes away and it was about 10:42pm. He asked me if I have breakdown cover. Ironically, I bought some today - but it doesn’t go active until midnight.
Bugger.
So tomorrow I will try and get up early and drive him down to the garage (once again) to get him fixed up. I’ve grown somewhat attached to Tilt. It may be easier to get a new car, but I don’t want one. I want Tilt. I’ll make him all better.
Anyways, short post tonight. I really wanna make sure I’m up early enough to get him sorted. Good night everyone.
