Whilst I would normally write about the melancholy of the ice-cream skinned Walrus who can’t roam the streets for fear of being licked by young children, I instead have to inform you that my mac, ‘Steve’, has had to return once again to “hospital”.

Whilst using him last night, just moments before popping in one of my Jackie Chan DVDs, the sound suddenly stopped working. Not only that, but “No output devices could be found”. Also, the superdrive (or DVD writer for those more familiar with PCs) wouldn’t read discs and instead swallowed one up. Thankfully it wasn’t my Jackie Chan DVD and so I was still able to sit and watch Police Story, albeit on my PC, ‘Woz’.

I’ll have to wait and see how long it takes to get repaired – could be up to 3 days, but my guess is that it’s the logic board that’s been damaged, seeing as I’ve done loads to rectify the problem but to no avail.

Unfortunately this means that until Steve returns to me, I shall have to wait until I can work more on creating comics or recording The Choad Show – but hopefully it should be back by the end of the week so realistically speaking it shouldn’t effect the show.

The only thing that really pains me is that I start back at work tomorrow after the summer holidays and I’m not going to be able to come home to the soothing aura of my mac. Instead I shall have to come back to Woz (who’s motherboard I still haven’t been able to replace since I accidentally fried it) and cope with that for the time being. At least my Season 5 box set of Smallville arrived today!

I miss my mac. :(

Why is there never an ice-cream skinned walrus to lick when you need one?!?
